Employers Seeking Internationally Trained Individuals

Soon, one in every eight jobs will go unfilled.
Baby boomers are reaching retirement age accounting for 70% of future new job openings.
Canada is facing a labour force deficit of 1.2 million.
To prosper, Ontario will need to attract 375,000 skilled immigrants each year.

In the coming decade, economic growth coupled with an aging population will launch our Nation into an era of unprecedented skilled labour shortage.  This challenge will affect communities across Canada.  Attracting skilled newcomers to Northern Ontario is Greater Sudbury’s most viable solution.

If you are an employer in the City of Greater Sudbury requiring additional information about hiring internationally-trained individuals, please contact Jean-Mathieu Chénier by email at jean-mathieu.chenier@greatersudbury.ca or by phone at 705-674-4455, extension 4637.
