"My Sudbury is beautiful."
Arshi immigrated to Canada from India seven years ago.
She is currently a student at one of the postsecondary institutions in the City of Greater Sudbury, Laurentian University.
She lives on the Laurentian University campus, where she is steps away from her classes and can make full use of the school’s services and programs. Laurentian University boasts seven residences that offer different types of living arrangements and floor plans. There are dorms, shared or single rooms, and even apartments. Not only is living on residence convenient, there are also many services that come with it, including free Internet, kitchen and laundry facilities, games rooms, video rentals, , ATMs, convenience stores, health services, exercise rooms, and much more.
Arshi also makes good use of the International Student Services at Laurentian University.
Arshi enjoys hiking in Greater Sudbury. The great outdoors and the beautiful natural surroundings found in the City make this the perfect leisure activity. As entertainment, she watches movies and listens to music.
Arshi made the City of Greater Sudbury her new home through a family friend who works at Laurentian University. She feels great about the city and considers it to be beautiful.
She recommends that newcomers to the City be patient when searching for jobs. She also says it is important to learn one of the country’s official languages. |
